Product Review
I bought these New Balance shoes based on past experience with New Balance. The older version of this shoe, the 1064, were the best running shoes I've ever had. I did not buy the first version of the 1080 due to the poor reviews here on Amazon. I switched back to Nike for my last pair (which were very good). Then I noticed a new version of the 1080 came out and the reviews improved dramatically. However, I am disappointed with this version. The fit, look, and quality all seem to be up to the New Balance standard I am used to, but I don't find running in these pleasant. I have very high arches and pronate a lot. These shoes are very flat on the bottom (little arch support) and are unusually hard when you step. Almost like wearing shoes with leather soles. I am learning to run in these and hope they "break in" somewhat, but it looks like I might have to get a new pair early. Why did NB have to mess with the success of the 1064?
Aft......
